English, Visual Arts and Design – Ms Sophia Leo (Founder)

Sophia studied Product Design at Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore, after graduating from National Junior College with a special paper in Higher Art for A-Level, as part of its Art Elective Programme.

She is a former school teacher with the Ministry of Education, Singapore, and a trainer with the People’s Association for English language courses, among which are the popular ‘Get it, Write!’ creative writing course and ‘Groom Your Kid to be a Smart Writer’ parent-child course.

She was also the group corporate communications personnel of a listed company where she handled the marketing communications and branding of all its business units prior to being an entrepreneur as the founder and owner of a marketing agency.

Mathematics – Mr Joe Chung

Joe obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from National University of Singapore and Post-Graduate Diploma in Education, Mathematics and Computer Applications from the National Institute of Education, Singapore. He was a Mathematics teacher with the Ministry of Education, Singapore, for over 6 years, incorporating digital learning platforms, computer applications, visual programming and problem-solving processes in his teaching.

Science – Ms Lim Hui Ni

Ms Lim graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from National University of Singapore and holds a Post-graduate Diploma in Education from National Institute of Education, Singapore. As an alumni of Hwa Chong Institution (A-Level), she returned to her alma mater and taught the subject of A-Level Biology for 9 years. She also taught O-Level Physics, Chemistry and Biology at Clementi Town Secondary School and New Town Secondary School.

Humanities – Dr Nazry Bahrawi

Nazry obtained his BA (Hon.) in English Language and Literature from SIM University, Singapore, MSc in General and Comparative Literature from University of Edinburgh on the British Chevening Scholarship, and PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Warwick, England.

He is currently a lecturer in the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Department of Singapore University of Technology and Design, research fellow at the National University of Singapore, and visiting scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, United States. He was an associate lecturer and course writer at SIM University, Singapore.

Outside the academia, Nazry has published op-ed commentaries on culture, society and politics in international newspapers including The Guardian, South China Morning Post, etc.

Dance – Ms Lee Yern Ee

Yern Ee graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts with a Diploma in Dance. She is trained in various genres including Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Salsa Dance and has since been a full- time dance instructor since graduation, teaching in schools and choreographing performances for her students’ performances.
